About the Course
General Art II is designed to further develop the concepts and skills learned in General Art I. Through a series of hands-on projects, students will infuse the elements of art and principles of design into newly learned topics and techniques. Students will explore a variety of two and three dimensional media as they deepen their understanding of various historical movements in art. They will continue to further interpret and analyze famous works art as well as their own. Students will keep a portfolio of their work from throughout the semester which can be used towards pursuing a career in the visual arts. The final for this course consists of a study of a famous artist of choice.
Homework Sketchbook Assignment List
Homework is assigned on Monday and check during the beginning of class on Friday. Select one prompt from the list per week. Must take up the entire page of your sketchbook. Make sure to put the number of the prompt you selected in one of the page corners. Should be colored in completely or shaded with drawing pencils. Late homework will be accepted for half credit only.
